Jana Pisarikova (born:1984, Brno) Curator and art theorist. Since 2015 she works as a curator at the Moravian Gallery in Brno where she deals with processing the collection and archive of Jiří Valoch. Her research is focused on art history from the second half of the 20th century to the present, with an emphasis on conceptual art practice. In recent years, she has also been working on the issue of processing and preserving the art archives of the generation of artists born in the 1940s and 1950s. She is concerned with the question of caring for aging artists and the search for an appropriate methodology for preserving their legacy. As a curator she has prepared a number of exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad. She is the author of monographic books and contributions to art magazines. In 2015 she graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno, where she dedicated herself to the subject of archives and re-enactment of action art. She has worked as a curator since 2009.
