Nader Luiza

Dr Luiza Nader – assistant professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Author of the book Conceptual art in Poland (Konceptualizm w Polsce, 2009) and of many texts dedicated to art after 1939. Her research is focused primarily on modern, avant-garde, neo-avantgarde art (specifically in Poland and Central Europe), on memory discourse, theories of affect, trauma, on the relations between limit events/ experiences and the cultural field. Currently she is working on the visual reports and testimonies of observers and witnesses of Shoah in Poland. Her new book Strzemiński’s affect. Theory of seeing, war drawing, In memory of friends – Jews (Afekt Strzemińskiego. Teoria widzenia, rysunki wojenne, Pamięci przyjaciół – Żydów) will be published in a few months.
